Case against Newcastle Footballer thrown out
Footballer damien Duff was caught doing 102mph in a 50mph zone. He was found guilty in his absence as the police did not receive the returned Notice of Intended Prosecution. Duff was able to produce a proof of posting that he did return it and so the case was quashed.
